Start the countdown good people because in two months Anne and I will tie up those tricky loose ends from Blood Brothers and redeem ourselves for what that rotten Mr. Shu did in The Dragon's Disciple by presenting you with LOST SOULS
More than a hundred years ago, Kabuki actor Ryuhei Nakamura and the vampire Kiyoshi Ishibe cemented an immortal love in old San Francisco. But at the dawn of the 20th century, their lives were torn apart at the hands of tragedy. Now Ryuhei's hope is reborn in the form of Jesse Shigeta, a gifted musical student. The young man is so like Ryuhei’s murdered beloved, that he believes fate has been kind in reuniting them once more, this time for eternity.
But Jesse is full of secrets. As a child, the supernaturally gifted young man discovered Kiyoshi’s soul still bound to Earth. His every intent was to reunite his ghostly friend with Ryuhei, but when Jesse falls in love with the vampire himself, he will stop at nothing to keep his place by Ryuhei's side. Even if that means calling upon ghost hunters to destroy Kiyoshi.( Read more... )

Fallen Angel Reviews 5 angels
Ms. Sheridan and Ms. Cain have once again incorporated Japanese mysticism in a contemporary plot with a unique paranormal flare that holds the reader's interest from the start. ~Teresa
ParaNormalRomance
Sheridan and Cain have penned an immensely gritty, lustful and passionate story of betrayal, loyalty and lost innocence that leaves nothing to the imagination where sex and violence are concerned and is definitely not for the weak or squeamish. ... Dai and Sakurai especially are colorful and have incendiary chemistry..."

They don't get any better than this:
Grab onto your seats and hang on for a dark, fast ride that doesn’t leave you wanting! This is an extraordinary offering from the dynamic duo of Barbara Sheridan and Anne Cain. If you haven’t read their work before, and I admit this is my first, then you are really missing out! You can read the rest of the review HERE
Interesting to me was a comment the reviewer made on how Dark Whispers contains scenes might push certain reader's "ick" buttons. There's no surprise there especially if you knwo how rough our biyz like ot play wiht one another but what got me was that s/he brought up the same scene that Mrs. Giggles was squicked by.
Anne and I and our editor find that particular scene to be one of the tamest things in the bunch.( Can you spot the squicky thing??? )

It would seem that our lovable sociopaths Shu & Toshiro are boyscouts compared to the kinky baddass hawtness that is Daisuke Matsui & Sakurai.
At least that's my interpretation of this advance review from the inimitable Mrs. G
*insert big big grin here*
Anne and I really, really like the Dai x Sakurai pairing and we get all fluttery pondering the possibilities of them getting together for a romp with Shu & Ken/shiro

We've finished Lost Souls the sequel to Soul of the Night that will definitely please those of you who were miffed at us for Kiyoshi's flashback appearance in Dragon's Disciple. We also have a treat in there for everyone who wished that Blood Brothers had more closure between Kiyoshi & Sakurai.

Anne and I overloaded you guys with fiction this year (to the tune of ten full length books and two novellas for those keeping count)
While I can't promise we'll be quite that prolific in the coming year we already have two books scheduled that feature some of your favorite characters. Ryuhei and Kiyoshi will be back in Lost Souls coming in July from Samhain. I know I know July is soooooo far away but the good news is that before that happens you'll get to partake of a bit more hot hot hot Sakurai action when he hits NYC and meets up with Japanese American detective named Dai Matsui who gives our Liu a lot more than he bargained for in Dark Whispers.
I'm not positive what all Anne has in store for you on the solo writing front but rumor has it that she's working on other projects that tie in to her awesome PawPrints currently available from Loose ID
I've also got a solo treat for you coming out in February from LI. I'm calling it Samurai Captive. It features some hot samurai x samurai smexing and a fiesty little British maid named Hannah who likes being held captive.
Thanks a million for your support this year and may 2008 bring you all the health, happiness and hotmansexing you desire.

With this week's release of Secret Moon we've pretty much given all the featured band members of Child'sPrey their own storyline and were toying with the idea of giving one couple, guitarists Jun & Koji, a short story with Jun's ex-wife Rumiko.
Readers would love it, right? What could be better than to revisit our our guys and see them being with one another as well as someone they both care for?
I've been doing in informal poll on our e-mail loop asking for feedback on the idea and so far the opinion is overwhelmingly against a three-some.
I was surprised, but not in a bad way.
Koji needs to give us a pat on the back (or front ~_^) for making his triumph over a seemingly unrequited love so complete that no one wants us to screw with his and Jun's HEA--or have them screw around with anyone else even if they'll always have close ties via the kids.
I imagine Anne and I won't be finishing the grande menage a trois any time soon and will keep our little story in our heads but for those of you mildly interested here's how it would have started....( What is and what can never be... )

It seemed like forever until Secret Moon was coming out and...todays' the day! Book 4 in the ChildsPrey series is available now
*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
On the biggest night of his career, Japanese glam rocker Miji Makana drops his mic to the stage floor and disappears from the public eye. No one knows what happened, not even his friends or former bandmates, now part of the rival rock band, ChildsPrey.
After working behind the scenes as an assistant editor for too long, Yutaka Kaneshiro finally gets his big break. He's given a potentially lucrative assignment to write an exposé on the world-famous rockers of ChildsPrey, one of which happens to be his stepbrother. But once he arrives in Tokyo and starts his research, he's drawn to the mystery surrounding Miji Makana. Where did the rocker go? Was he involved with the mob? Is he running from tax collectors? Did he have a sex change?
The rumors are wild, but nothing surprises Yuta more than the truth: the down-to-earth fry cook Yutaka is falling head over heels for is really the glam rocker in disguise?
When a series of hot sex tapes ignites a scandal that quickly skyrockets out of control, truth is separated from fiction and love is brought to light under a secret moon.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, exhibitionism, homoerotic sex (m/m), masturbation, ménage ( m/m/f, m/m/m), voyeurism.
Yeah man ALL the GOOD STUFF!!!!
Wanna see the inspiration behind Miji & Gothic deSade?

In a few hours you guys can revel in the return of Sakurai as he shows up in San Francisco to pay a "friendly visit" to our Mr. Shu. *insert maniacal laughter here*
You can buy it HERE.
While this sort of wraps up the main Shu/Toshiro story arc there's more to come but beyond a firm publication date for the Soul of the Night sequel coming next July we don't know what we're going to do with Sakurai's solo story that picks up a bit after Alliances leaves off. We'll keep you posted of course. ^_^
( So, how about an excerpt???? )

Anne's Pawprints is already getting positive reviews HERE and HERE
And ya gotta love Mrs. Giggles intro to the review (bold mine): She makes such pretty covers, she's one half of a duo that play a big part in the whole yaoi thing in the electronic publishing scene, and now she's flying solo. Naturally, I just have to weigh in on the book.
You are good for my sagging ego Mrs. G. Let's hope you feel the same after Shu's grand adventures wind down a bit next week.

Anne's book is out. Check it out Now!

Veterinary student Adrian Ferrer can't find the right man for a lasting relationship, let alone to share his life with. Between classes, his part-time job at an animal hospital and volunteering at a no-kill shelter, he's not making time to try either. Just as he's ready to leave love for the birds, Adrian comes across a new guest at the shelter who turns out to be much more than the cute, black & white cat he first appears to be. The cat shifts form, becoming a gorgeous, naked man named Lal, and the sexual attraction between the two men is pure animal magnetism.
Before Adrian knows it, he's falling for Lal faster than he can catch his breath. Never mind that his apartment doesn't allow pets, Lal is one cat he's not letting go of. But Adrian's new love is on the run from a former life that's about to catch up with them both.
