Here's a taste: By far the strongest and most mature of their works to date, Dark Whispers is not the kind of read that will appeal to everyone – there’s no sap or fluff here – but if you enjoy angst and violence with your sexy boys, this is the book for you. There are a couple of scenes that may hit your squick buttons (one scene in particular has been flagged by other reviewers, although the only thing I found icky about it was the fact that Daisuke wore nylon undies – mmm, static), but hardcore yaoi fans won’t be too shocked and appalled. Bottom line: If you like Yamane Amano’s Viewfinder series, you’ll love this.
